Dankje Rob. Dit is volgens mij een heel erg fijne kit om te bouwen. Ik heb ooit eens die tweezitter gehad..nu al spijt dat ik hem verkocht heb😄

Nice cockpit, just to "copulate with ants", the seatbelts won't hang like this in reality

Added the decals. Aftermarket swastika is used because i think the kit swastika is not correct. All black instead of white outline only.
I'm thinking of giving this bird a satin coat instead of matt i usually use.

Thanks mates. I still do not know what kind of finish i'll give it. A flat one or a satin. I usually use Xtracolor flat varnish, wich is really really matt. I also have Xtracolor satin varnish but never used it. Gonna spray the satin on a old model today, we'll see.

very nice work on the camo, I'd opt for the satin varnish. Normally I use the varnishes from alclad for the last cote, splendid stuff to work with...

These aircraft were not used as much as other operational types, so I would go for a satin finish with wear limited to main access panels. Don't forget this aircraft was built for speed, so I expect its finish to have been more glossy than the average fighter.

Thanks for the help guys. I've used the satin finish and it turned out good i think. Not to satin but a bit of flat. I like it. Made some pictures in daylight, it looks nice. Too bad i have some silvering on some stencils but i can live with that.

Looks very good to me. I don't see a lot of silvering, but I always try to remove as much of the carrierfilm as I possibly can to avoid it...

Bart, the silvering is on the red stencils on the horizontal stabilizers, it's minimal but it's there

apparently there is a technique to remove the carrier film altogether using enamel thinners.
I have yet to work it out but I heard about it from Flory Models, would love to know what it is exactly 🙂
but yes, great work dude 🙂

Well that is something worth of checking out Choppa. Altough with a proper gloss base and proper quality decals the carrier film almost never is a problem i think

Yeah this is a technique I definitely want to find out about because it removes the thickness from the decal so you don't get any washes collecting round the edges of the decals, plus it guarantees absolutely no silvering ever again 🙂
Most of the time I don't get silvering anymore but sometimes I do on the smaller stencils, the other handy thing about this technique is apparently is that you can apply it directly to a matt finish 🙂

My 2 cents worth is that I can ruin almost any decals made by any company, I've taken to painting on the big markings and dry transfers for stencilling.

Thanks James! Yes, the cylindrical nose weight is enough to hold it on it's nose wheel. But, when you want to add a resin aftermarket rear engine you should put in more I guess. Looking forward to your build mate!
