Been thinking about this project for a while, finally decided to pull the kit out and start cutting. Would've like to chop the roof down a bit lower but I was concerned about getting the pillars to line up, so it is what it is. I'm thinking a semi polished/burnished steel finish with some spitfire camo and decals.

Looks great so far Ben ! So you did chop down the roof at the front a bit !? Gives it a pretty " mean " appearance already ! Spitfire markings are a great idea . Will it be Alclad" Burnt MetaL" ? I bought that for my "Last Exile Vanship", so I´m quite curious on what it will look like.

Cheers Hanno. I chopped both the front and back but more off the front. I'm trying to get some alclad but you can't post it into my state due to regulations or some crap so I need to find a supplier, but the burnt metal look is what I'm looking for....nothing looking too clean basically. I'll add some "engine" parts sticking through the bonnet (not that they're actual engine parts just nonsense) so it might get a bit feral. Also thought of mounting a machine gun on the roof. I'll see. 🙂

... and if you put it on BREN Carrier tracks Ben, you could take your idea from the sublime to the ridiculous ! Sounds like a great project and I'll be watching with interest. Cheers

Interested in any feed back on the engine protrusions. They're not meant to be anything particular, just raiding old parts.

No JW. It's on the back burner. I wasn't happy with the camo pattern and paint and felt I'd over done it a bit so I stepped away from it for a while, pretty well at the same time I had a break from modelling. I think I'll strip it back and start again, not sure.

Where is M when you need him? Could be a cool James Bond 2.0 kind of car as well. I am rambling just so I can follow this conversation. Love the creativity, love the ideas and love what you have done. Keep up the good work!

Good to see you back on the tools with this project Ben. Are you happier with the camo?

I am JW, I hand brushed a bit and then airbrushed over the top to fade it in a bit, need to give it a bit of a rub with steel wool and fine sandpaper to flatten it a bit. Still have to work out the wheels.

Cut out a bit of the wheel arches and glued in plastic card to fill the gap. Dry fitted the wheels as a test, I'd like it to be lower to the ground but I'm happy with this being more of an off road version.

Not finished yet but close. Wheels not glued on yet, chrome work to be sprayed and a bit more painting to be done.
