Gerne 🙂 Ja, also das Ding sieht echt geil aus... auch qualitativ ..... (wenn nur der hohe Preis nicht wär ..., der doch ein kleines Loch in den "Modellbauer-Geldbeutel" genagt hat ... 🙂

Excellent kit made by WMM Peter Plattner. He is a freak in detail and painting and has some nice kits in his program. Good choice Micha! Looking forward to your next SIP – ShipInProgress🙂

That's a good question... I am not shure what coming next..... but I have some ships in mind... just not finally decided which one I will do first 🙂

What do you think about the brass parts for the port holes? I am not 100% shure yet ..... What do you think?
On the side you see the final color of the black paint (Black+white+rust). Washings etc. follow. On top it is still black primer ... 🙂

... just ordered some alternative ones... not as voluminous as these ones.... etched alternatives... 🙂

That might be a good idea, the brass ones look a bit bulky. Is there any reliable photo reference existing ?But other than that it is such a fantastic model. If it was'nt that expensive, Iwould one right away......... 🙂

No... I think there is no picture availabe.... it is nearly impossible finding any pictures of this ship.... only few are available... and these are not really helpfull.... but I think these are a bit too big... too heavy... I think the etched ones will be the better way 🙂 Hopefully I get these tomorrow or Thursday 🙂

First very nice progress. Very impressive build! About the portholes, mmhhh, they look a bit to prominent to me. But I'm not sure because of less photos as you mentioned already.
May this WIP help:

I will use seom etched parts instead of the brass ones.... flat... more flat then these voluminous brass parts.... 🙂
Thanks for the WIP... looks also interesting! But I think he did not open the portholes as it seems on the pics ... 🙂

Yep I think so too. Show some photos when you finished it🙂

Thanks Christian. The first soldered handrail for me 🙂

Well worth waiting for the etched portholes, they look a lot more realistic. Like Christian said, the railing looks great !

Thank you very much - now waiting for some parts which were missing in the kit .... the signal lamps, two parts of the guns. Continue once I get these from WMM (should arrive these days) 🙂 (Great service from Austria! 🙂 )
