I wanted this kit for the Saudi decals which I will use on the Revell kit. The Italeri kit is not very accurate, mostly in terms of details, so I had some fun with it to show what the Kuwait Air Force Typhoons might look like in a few years, having been selected in real life in September 2015.

I used some spare Meteor and Storm Shadow missiles from the Revell kit (as they are not yet in service with the Typhoon in any air force), and F-15 fuel tank halves from the spares box to make Conformal Fuel Tanks. The IRIS-T missiles are from the kit.

I had to cut off and smooth in two intakes from the bottom of the fuselage which Italeri still include, which I think were originally on the prototypes but have not been updated. I left the other inaccuracies - after all, who knows what changes might appear by the time Kuwait receives its aircraft?

The paint job is loosely based on the colours used on a current Kuwaiti F-18C, tail code 425 with 9 Sqn. I included Kuwait A
