I love that helo, especially in that coloures! But the cable cutters on the gear struts look weird... Dont they point to the wrong side? (Well i know it has a reason to attach them as they are, but what is the reason?)

Excellent reference photos! Thanks Kerry! Holger, it could be so that the thought is to have a foreign cable or such to slip against the wheel and roll away and only cut it if it strikes too high on the gears. But that's just a guess on my part.

Holger, the cable cutters are facing the right way, but it is just that they are a downward deflecting like Urban has beautifully described, but the cable, of what ever it may be, be it fence wire, (Low level ground hugging) or electric/comms wire is cut if too high and reaches the 'slicing' jaws.

But thanks for looking in on the pics and I hope I have not covered any 'vital' detail with the MOD VID text I hope. 🙂

Did you see my album of the "Boneyard Wrangler". An F-111C I did close up photography of too. Really clear shots of the whole bird, wheel well, bomb bay, and I am still yet to upload the images of the trailing edge flaps and from when I walked all over the upper main body surface too. 🙂

Album info

I had the opportunity to get up close and intimate with a Blackhawk chopper at the Oakey base west of Toowoomba, west of Brisbane some 16 years ago and finally I found the disk I had all the Kodak images I scanned and so, as I have no real need for them now, I thought how good it would be to post them here for all my mates to get some use of and maybe some enjoyment too.
