Nice build so far. Are you going to use the kit tracks or workable aftermarket?

Thanks. I used the tracks from the kit. No complaints there, but had to spend an entire evening cleaning up Trumpeters "parade" roadwheels...

Cool. Any issues with the kit? I got that kit too and also going to build the syrian version, but decided to go with the am tracks from Armour Track Models - Nr. TK-05.

@Ingo: Depends on how much detailing you want to do.
OOB it´s a quick and simple build, you´d only need to fill a few gaps.
If you want to add some more details you need to add:
-weldseams (mainly on the turret)
-fuel lines for the tanks on the fenders
-attachments for boxes and tanks on the fenders (I´ll probably pass on this one)
-wires for all lamps
-some odd lamp next to the turret ventilator (still have to do that)
and
-get rid of the texture on the rubber rims of the roadwheels
-remodel/replace the mount of the DSchK (have to do that aswell)

@cortex: Thanks, I think I´ll need a bit of luck for that one😉

Added a few details, all in all it´s ready for the paintjob.

Alright, finished the paint job. Used worn effects to create the chipping, but had to correct some parts of the green cammo by brush.
I didn't use the decals as I needed slightly different ones. Hand painting them with washable white worked great, as you can just wipe it away, if you aren't satisfied.

Thanks chaps. Completed the whole thing today. I'll update the album description with what I could scrape together about that tank later tonight.

Album info

The tank is a T-62 Model 72, employed by the Syrians in Lebanon.
It was captured by Israel in the 1982 Lebanon war and made it's way to the Budge Collection in Redfort, UK where these pics were taken in '88:

As most of the Budge collection was sold off, this tank found it's home in the Littlefield collection. Sadly it was sloppily repainted in green and received a new turret number before being photographed again:

I don't know where the tank currently is, but i haven't seen it for sale. I'd assume it's still with the rest of the collection.
