Nice! If you need any more reference pics, I've got a few from my 1:24 build!
In the 1:24 instructions there was an error regarding the color of the seats, they should be red not black!

Thanks Tim. In my instructions it calls for red seats.

Great start Paul, the 917's are one of my favourite non-Ferrari Le Mans contenders...

Following. My favorite car from one of the most desirable MFH...... Just the start of your project shows that this is going to be a great model. Up to know easy to build? Complications?

A kit this size with these materials, what are you using to bond the parts? I have an 037 that i wanted to solder together but then found i suck at soldering. Is super glue enough to hold all that weight together?

So far all I've used is superglue. I've thought about soldering the frame pieces together, but haven't experimented with that yet. I have a 917K that I'm building at the same time and I did CA the rear cage together on that. It seems to be strong enough. I'm also going to try 2 part epoxy on some pieces. Norbert...sorry I didn't see your post earlier. I wouldn't say it's easy in the Tamiya kit way. But it doesn't seem too hard with what I've done so far. One thing about MFH kits is that all of the holes need to be drilled out, so you spend a bit of time doing that.
