I have to return the compliment about my SM79, Chrisitian. This is excellent. You must have a steady hand.

I know I am a bit late with my comment (not sure how I missed this one), but your free hand camo is superb! I will have to give this a try as I love the squiggle-camouflaged planes. I have the Eclipse HP-CS airbrush, but my documentation states that the smallest nozzle (tip) is 0.35mm. Wondering where you obtained your 0.15mm nozzle, or is it perhaps an aftermarket item? Thank you Christian. iwata-medea.com/prod..ushes/eclipse/hp-cs/

i think Iwata airbrushes come with one needle/nozzle combination and you can not change it, while some Harder & Steenbeck Airbrushes allow multiple nozzle/needle options. for example i purchased mine with 0.15 and 0.4, and later got a 0.2 needle/nozzle for it. it is like having 3 airbrushes.
actually i see now, that i said that i have the evolution, but it is actually the infinity, harder-airbrush.eu/en/infinity.html

Ok, looks like I had a senior moment when I posted my comment. Christian, please ignore my inquiry and my apologies for the confusion. You clearly stated you have Evolution (Harder & Steenbeck), and I for some reason (hence the "senior moment" reference) equated it to my Iwata Eclipse. That explains why I can't find 0.15mm for it 😄
Spanjaard: Thanks for your comment to help me screw my head on straight. I have read somewhere else on Scalemates about Harder & Steenbeck airbrushes to positive acclaim. Just for clarification: Iwata airbrushes do generally come with one nozzle size, but other sizes are available (Eclipse comes with 0.35mm but optional 0.5mm can be purchased). Nozzles generally are not interchangeable between product lines (for example nozzles for Eclipse cannot be used in Custom Micron), but I am not sure this is true across their product line (there are 6+). I am curious what kind paint do you shoot through 0.15mm? Whatever it is, I am guessing it's thinned a lot.

thanks Alekc. i did not know that Iwata also had the option of using more than one nozzle/needle. that is certainly good to know
about the 0.15, i have use acrilic, but if course thinned. the problme is that the neeldl and nozzle can be damaged a lot faster than 0.4 (or maybe it is just me 😛 )

Thanks Spanjaard. I have gone through few nozzles myself, so I think we are not alone 👍

Thanks a lot to all
@Alec K, i agree with spanjaard, i used Gunze colors and app. 60 -70 % thinner for a good result. I also used some drops Tamyia paint retarder, it prevents the paint from drying in the nozzle.
