This project is an experiment with a techique inspired by Zoukei Mura and other new kitmakers that are reimagining the way model kits are engineered.
I've always found the interior seams in the fuselages of bombers to be impossible to fill. While unnoticeable to most viewers, they bother me and I've sought a method to correct them.
On this kit I'm rebuilding the top of the fuselage to assemble at natural panel lines on the interior, thus eliminating that annoyance that runs across the top centerline. If I can perfect the fit, it might even be removable, so that one can get a better view into the rear interior.
Minor, I know, but I want to see if ai can pull it off. If so, I'll probably try it on one of the Monogram 1/48 big bombers.
