Nice work. Another superb dutch Leopard 🙂👍
And again the Revell kit. This one gets a lot of attention...
But what do I spy lurking back there in the corner on photo #28?😉

That's an old leopard 2A4 kit from Italeri, I made that kit more than 20 yrs ago...sharp eyes! My skills are definitely improved, I got my inspiration to build the Revell kit from a scalemate James C, he build an awesome Dutch Leopard 2A4 also from Revell...

I watched James' build too while I was fiddling with my Revell Leo. The only non-dutch version I've seen here so far 🙂
Will watch yours as well 👍
The kit builds up quite nicely. Apart from a few rather hefty (later hidden) sinkmarks in the hulltub and my misalignment of a part of the turret it went together very easily. The vinyl parts are the only real downside in my opinion. I'd recommend getting the Bronco or Trumpeter indy tracks :>

Thanks James, appreciate your comment!
I have a question for you Rene, how did you make those rubber plugs (photo #6 of your project Leopard 2) for the holes of the coax machinegun and TZF, secondary gunner sight in the cannon shield?

I didn't make them myself. I tried, they looked crap and wire for the chains wasn't good either.
I grabbed the Mantlet plug set from Leopard Workshop.

I just drilled the bottom out.

You're welcome! But those pe parts are super fiddly. I tore one of the tracks while trying to twist it :]

Thanks James, I am satisfied with the end result. You were a good source of inspiration, I have now added several modern battle tanks to my stash.

Probably an M1A2 Abrams from Tamiya Operation Iraqi Freedom, I had this model for a while on my wish list, purchased last week. What are you doing right now ... have not been on Scalemates for a while now!

I have to quote James here, awesome! Dirty, but not beyond recognition. I need to practice more to get that restrained weathering you and a few others pull off! 🙂
The fine details like the duct tape and the camonet (is that gauze bandage? 🤔😢 add a nice touch. Good job!

Thanks guys, appreciate your comments. Yes Rene, that is gauze bandage painted in nato colors and rolled up. On the turret there is no duc tape but Velcro, that was for the duel simulation system Miles. A band with sensors came around the turret.

Ik ben zeker benieuwd hoe die versie gaat worden, mocht je nog detail vragen hebben....shoot! Ik ben 22 jaar cavalerist geweest.
