My son might have caught the bug. After his Corsair he's building this P-51. He asked me to paint it as he thinks that's too tedious. So I freehand brushed the camo in German Grey and German Blackgreen on his request.
Just before bed he asked if we could do a ship next. Generous as I am 😉 I let him choose between Mogami and Indianapolis. So, he'll be a Yankee shipbuilder in the future!

Well, my son is fighting the virus. He wants to build something, but it needs to be done FAST. I just might buy him some snap tite kits to experiment with, rather than a 1/700 Tamiya ship with metal barrels and a wooden deck.

haha... yeah i hear that... good idea, slow intro to the hobby... i tried with a car kit with my younger son (13) and he was ok for like the first 2 sittings with it... then said that i was better at it and that i should finish it 🙂 haha... so he says he just doesn't find it to be "fun" or enjoyable 🙂 however, patience is a huge key, and something i am still fighting to master with this stuff... 🙂

Marty, I can only view this on my phone at the moment but hell, that's a big improvement over his last build! Give the lad a pat on the back from me!

The virus is spreading. After his Corsair, my son is building a P-51B in British colours.
