Does the rear crane come with the kit? Silly question perhaps.

Yes, the crane is part of the kit. The wire cable was a scratch build add on - superior to the injection plastic one from the kit.

Thanks guys. HEMTTs are fantastic vehicles and the kit does a good job depicting a realistic cargo version. Life line to Armored formations.

Very nice work. 👍 I built the Italeri fuel tanker version a few years ago, so can really appreciate what you've done here.

Just for Dominik, I strapped down the MICLIC trainer. The rocket was secured to the training load with aluminum strips, and the entire load secured with webbed tie-down straps and ratchet. Once installed in the bed it will look all safe and secure for travelling down your local roads.

Album info

This project began in late winter 2019 and was interrupted by warm weather and outdoor activities. Resumed in October 2019 and worked sporadically until February 2020.

I intended to depict an old, and worn HEMTT serving in an Engineer unit. Built OOB, with the addition of the colored HEMTT cab interior PE set from Eduard. Painted with Rust oxide primer with salt technique worked well for rust effect over the NATO Woodland Camouflage 3 color scheme.

The HEMTT carries an inert Mine Clearing Line Charge (MICLIC) training canister and a live rocket in support of a training exercise. The MICLIC Canister rests on a scratch built set of pallets made from Balsa wood. Both the MICLIC reload canister and the rocket were scratch built from corrugated cardboard packing board, styrene sheets, square and tube rods. The coiled ignition wire is sewing thread. The rocket head and tail end assemblies are modified items from the spare parts box, along with styrene and Mr. Surfacer 500. The MICLIC rocket is cradled in a foam U
