Started with this beauty. The cockpit was a real treat to put togeather, very simple but with a lot of details. Some parts might seem a bit shiny because these pics are after a quick clear semi gloss coat in order to even out the parts and the PE.

Well the detail and paint job on this motor dosen't look 1/48. So I think you are doing a great work here. I'm in 👍

Thanks for the compliments David, the engine cowlings will be open so a good part of the engine will be visible. 🙂

Thank you very much Spanjaard and JD! 🙂
I am currently in the process of modifying the engine cowling, however, my job is kinda hectic lately so its unfortunately holding me back with the model... I am expecting to resume soon enough though. 🙂

First the eye catches the beautiful front, then comes the rewarding view at the back... a bit rusty in this case, but that´s as it should be!😉 😄
Really good job on the R-2800 👍

Beautiful job on that engine, it seems that Eduard's R2800 is far superior to the Aires one 👍

Thanks a lot Slavo, Roland, Hanno and Soeren. The engine is quite fun to put together but requires patience with the exhaust construction.

Missed this one untill now. Looks very promising and I will following this for sure. The only comment I have are the exhausts. In a hot and oily environment they would color much darker (chipping brown?). Sometimes even a dark oily grey. I think the color you used is appropriate for an engine standing outside for a while.

Hi Lex and welcome, I think you might be correct, I've already thought about this. I think I'll work on the exhaust a bit more to get a darker shade on it. 🙂
