Top of fuselage painted Vallejo Model Air Aluminium. Vallejo Chipping Medium added to aluminium and waited to dry. Vallejo Model Air IJA Dark Green added to top of fuselage and then water added and weathering of paintwork attempted. 🙂

Thanks Daniel, I used a combination of a tooth pick and a rough brush to get the effects. 👍

With the decals on and some minor weathering, I have now completed the Ki-43. 🙂
This aircraft denotes that flown by Sergeant Major Tomio Hirohata during 1943 as part of 59 Sentai (Fighter Group) in Papua New Guinea. He was later KIA on 22 Apr 1945. An ace, he had 14 attributed kills. This number, as all attributed kills for the IJAAF and IJNAF, can represent whole, shared, probable, damaged, ground/water & imagined victories.

A lot of Ki-43s on SCM recently - it's certainly a popular subject. Good job. Did you use Vallejo paints during the build?
