This marks the end of my model making months this year. It's not the best nor the worst Tomcat out there, and I'm content with that. The main shortcoming (besides the broken decal) I think is the weatherings lacking some definition and contrast. I wanted to rely on oil paints as little as possible, but ended up using quite a bit. However, the dark surface overpowers whatever oil I throw on there. I think I would do a much better job next time if building a classic Jolly Rogers Tomcat, which I plan to do next year.
