1925 Curtiss Racer R3C-2..... NOT a "Flying Boat"
...This poor guy was clobbered and sat in a bowl for months....finally, in a fit of whimsy, the floats were replaced and painted gold....and rerigged..
.....here it is with a Testors Ad in Boys Life from 1977 that was on Ebay for not much....

.....gold floats and all...this one goes back on the display shelf....

Lochsa RiverA kit done years ago and photographed, that has since being clobbered by something and is in a bowl somewhere...... But it did live at some point.

This was fun and an early wire rigging attempt. It had a tragedy and sat in a parts bowl for months. Photographs are the first really trying to pay attention to good studio flash technique.
....rebuild with gold floats undertaken at some point.....
