The kit chrome wasn't the best. It was treated with some clever Molotow

In hindsight, I should've studied the decals a little bit more. I missed a couple of instructions

Nice looking model. What make is the engine? I've just got one in a job lot I bought.

Thanks chaps. Nigel, it's a Detroit. The original colour is Alpine Green, which I did my best to find. Over here, it's an awkward colour, but I did have success with Emerald Green.

In the kit, they give you a paper mask. I was filled with doubt, so I basically masked up myself. Just be mindful of the decals. I read them a couple of times and thought that I had it? I soon realised that I was wrong. On the side decals, there's the smallest of marks, that tells you to cut the decal. I missed that tiny snippet of information. And finally, for the touch up process, I recommend Tamiya Titanium Gold. Definitely apply that into the headlight recess. Other than that, it's all straightforward. Like I said, I've bought another, because I loved it that much. And I've yet to acquire the new version of the 4070A.

Nice one. And you couldn't be Bozzer'd (use exaggerated German accent) to share these pictures with us during the build? Missed opportunity to lighten the gloomy days of lockdown 😉

Lmao Martin! During the first part of lockdown, things got a little hairy here. Being diagnosed as positive, I had to isolate from everyone. Whilst my symptoms were barely anything to complain about, I was naturally scared of infecting anyone else. So I stayed in my room for at least the first 10 days, before finally venturing into the mancave. During the first couple of days, I basically worried myself to death, with the horrible news on TV 24hrs a day. However, in my room, I had some unbuilt kits in boxes. Well, I ended up building those kits into sub assemblies. Needless to say, as soon as I got into the cave, the paint started flying out of my airbrush! They still all need bits placing on them, because I moved on to some other builds, that had inspired me, but you'll be seeing them in the coming months. Oddly enough, they're International too 😉

Awesome. Beautiful done! I heard these were the most reliable and comfortable COEs. I finally decided to buy one of these kits sealed. I would love if they made a grain trailer oh so that means I have a scratch build to do.

Jarrett, you need to source out Doug Wagner. And when you do, you'll soon be selling some of your body organs! The man is a wizard

Just a few build pictures from lockdown. This was actually a really nice kit to build. It went together pretty quickly.
