@Rui S - yes, I tried to make the one not much weathered, based on the photos I found of Neptunes in this squadron. They seemed to be well maintained birds, and being peace time Navy I think the ground crews had more time to keep things looking good.

Here is my rendition of the P2V-7 Neptune, one of the key ASW and ocean patrol planes of the cold war.
The model was built using the venerable Hasegawa kit, the Eduard detail set, Printscale decals, and some home made improvements. It represents airframe BuNo 135538 while serving with VP-11 in 1963.
