The F-4 is almost done. While I was uncrossing my eyes from PE, I decided to do this baby. Not really a build, two legs, tail, wings and head. Then attach to base. So its all about the finish work. Which is fine by me. 🙂

He stood on top of his mountain, old and scarred. He had lived more centuries than he cared to recall, though he could. His once gleaming scales, virtually blinding in the full sun, now, much duller. Wings torn and tattered, long healed wounds of battles fought.
He had amassed a horde, as many dragons do. But really, it meant nothing. You see, most "scholars" believe dragons to be solitary loaners. That mating is fraught with dangers for both participants. Both tolerating the other long enough to continue the race and nothing more. And the dragons were more than happy to allow the humans to believe this. It served them well. You cant attack a loved one if you dont realize there ARE loved ones.
But he had never found his one true mate. Yes, he had found some, some who were close. Some who filled his heart for a time. But they inevitably moved on, rending his heart. Another thing the humans dont know. Dragons DO feel love. They are capable of love that would overwhelm their ability to comprehend. A dragons heart is huge. His soul immense. When a dragon loves, it can be as intense as the sun.
He stood on top of his mountain. Old and scarred. As he watched her fly away, he raised his foreleg, as if to pull her back. He did so without thinking. Realizing he was doing so, he put the wounded foot to the ground. His heart rending again.
