Basic painting? - were it my model, it would be my final one 😉 Fantastic effect as always, Simon
Wow, thanks for your positive feedback my friends!
@Marius: yes, a small scene is planned.
This M1 is waiting in a depot for its reprocessing.
Got the idea from AK´s Wornart Collection no.4.
Hey Marius, this is Simon. He cannot do without a diorama - even if he wanted to. 😉
Good for us, as the results are always very entertaining.
Ohhhh Michael, you´re too kind 😂
And without a small base it is not finished for me...
Thanks you so much for your comments mates!
Base still in progress...
Really nice idea. I have never seen this before and I like it. 👍
Thank you all so much mates!
I'm really looking forward to your feedback!
And of course for all the likes!
The idea came to me when I was looking through the new AK Worn Art Collection.
And this M1 immediately appealed to me 😁

Only with the implementation I sometimes had slight problems.
It was a bit sheer for me to find an equal of effects and colors.
Unfortunately I have to say that I am not quite satisfied with the end result.
I think that it does not look quite coherent in the overall view.
However, thank you!
Great job as always Simon. Are you exhibiting in Ried? I hope so.
Hi Stefan, danke für dein Lob😁
Ausstellen werde ich leider nicht, ist sich nicht mehr ausgegangen...
Aber ich möchte wdnigstens am Wettbewerb teilnehmen.
For me this build has its own style, and some of the techs can be used on WWII fighters I think.
Oh the plaque design is good, just assumed this tank is a product laying inside a box that you can't see it directly, this plaque on the box would attract people stop by and thinking about buying it.
Like all others here I love the paint job
Looks just fantastic right amont of rust, scratches and fade
Also a great subject very well done
Wohoho 😂 I´m really glad about your nice comments mates!! Thanks!
Album info
The idea for this project came to me while reading the new issue of the AK Wornart Collection.
Representing an M1 in this form seemed like a good idea to me;).
It is intended to represent a used M1 that is stored in the Army depot and awaiting for reconstruction.
I used Dragon's M1A1 (7215) for this project.
A somewhat older kit that has its advantages and disadvantages.
If it's cheap, it's still a good choice.
I also used some parts from the Part PE set (P72-125) and an Orange Hobby aluminum gun barrel G72-195).
Some of the PE parts for the storage baskets broke or were lost, that's why I depicted it with the jam storage bins dismantled.
The figure comes from Germania Miniaturen and is a 3d printed item.
I made the base and the tiles myself.
For the tiles, I used Ammo acrylic concrete paste to preserve the structure.
I then applied a thin coat of diluted AK foam sealer and sanded until bits of the paste came out.
That adjusted the grain of the surface a bit and then I painted and weathered everything.
I didn't quite get what I wanted with the painting on the tank itself, but it should be acceptable I think...hopefully...?
