1958 Taiwan Strait Crisis

In addition to one aircraft from each side of the strait. I also decided to build 3 American "ugly ducklings" among US early jets which never saw significant service BUT all three happened to be involved in this conflict by flying air patrols & air cover during the evacuation of islands being invaded by the PRC.
