This unfinished F-16DJ (kinetic 48005 F-16DJ Block50) was fortunate enough to participate in and complete the unfinished race organized by Uncle Di. The kinetic Old F-16 kit has been on the market for over a decade, and the only available kits back then were Hasegawa, Tamiya, and Italeri. Apart from the excellent quality of the Tamiya kit, both Hasegawa and Italeri are ancient wooden pieces, with details and research lagging behind the times. The Kinetic kit features rich details, numerous configurations to choose from, and a plethora of weapons that are eye-catching. After going public, I bought 6 boxes of various versions of Kinetic kits one after another, some of which were also equipped with resin cockpit, tail spray, tires and other modified parts. Why is it unfinished? The combination of the Kinetic old kit is really a bit poor, and it needs to be repeatedly assembled. There will still be some large seams, and repeated adjustments still cannot match well. Some side details are also quite blurry. I opened two boxes at the same time, one box of F-16A MLU, and this F-16DJ. Later, I opened the F-16CJ from Tamiya and compared it. Small parts are not aligned properly, some parts have incomplete injection molding, and transparent parts are polished with too much force, resulting in cracks being removed by pinching. After a few setbacks, it ended up being abandoned, along with the supplements. Yes, unfinished+3, two boxes of Kinetic and one box of Tamiya.

Last year, the new version of kinetic F-16 was launched, and the old version kit will soon become an unsold item in the second-hand market . I thought these two talents would give up and go straight to the garbage dump. When I opened the box and checked the residual value, I found that I had carefully polished many parts and completed the most difficult alignment work with the replacement parts. The kit cost only a few dollars, and the wasted working hours became an eternal silent cost. Years have passed, and I have met many big shots and learned many techniques. I contacted Mr. Wang next door and received the parts. Mr. PK provided a pink 3D-printed parts, and Uncle Di organized a unfinished resumption of work competition. It seems that the opportunity to revive the unfinished business has arrived.

The main pitfall in production is the competition with the combination, and the main problem is the gap between the two rear cover plates of the radar hood and the fuselage. After the upper and lower fuselage are closed, they also need to be filled and polished. The rest are not too big problems, and can be completed with normal sham group and repair. In the era of abundant supplements, it is natural to use money to improve details and save time. I have purchased 2 Quickboost seats, resin tires from Eduard , F110-GE-129 engine、AIM-120C air-to-air missile、LAU-129 universal air-to-air missile mount from FabScale. The combination of tail spray, tires, missiles, and suspension is very good, with rich details and accurate matching. However, not all of these supplements were installed properly. Due to the resumption of unfinished work, some of the supplements were not completely matched in terms of time and process. The Quickboost seats were painted and colored without a fake group. However, during the final installation, it was found that the width and cabin interfered, and the seats were too wide to be installed properly. Unable to bear to remove the details on the side, the original seats were repainted and colored before being installed. This is also a great regret for this time, Due to being in an open cabin state, we will take some time later to address this obvious weakness.

There was also a big pit in the middle. When dealing with the vertical tail, I didn't look at the paint color code, so I assumed that the tip of the vertical tail was sprayed yellow. When applying the water sticker, I didn't take a photo of the actual machine, and the face of the cat logo followed the instructions. However, the result was inconsistent with the actual machine, so I applied it upside down. After another hand injury, I'm really sorry to ask Mr. Wang next door for a replacement. Fortunately, the unfinished rate of this kit is extremely high, and Liu Mama, happens to have a box in her hand. So I shamelessly asked for the corresponding parts and made a new vertical tail to avoid the tragedy of another unfinished project.

High risk battlefield ground attack mounting was selected for mounting, with a 1000 pound laser guided GBU-24 weapon for ground attack and 3 * AIM-120C and 1 * AIM-9X for aerial mounting. The belly of the aircraft is equipped with an AN/ALQ-184 electric warfare pod, and the upper end of the outer hanging bracket under the wing is equipped with an AN/ALE-50 towing bait. The two AIM-120Cs on the wingtip and the hanging bracket are printed from FabScale, while the other weapons use Kinetic original components. The reason for this mounting is also due to the process problem of resuming work after completion. In order to avoid further completion and avoid additional matching work, I tried my best to simplify my work and strive to complete this model. The "take off" red strip and pin on the fuselage were manually rubbed by oneself. Based on actual photos, locate the position of the red strip pin, drill a hole in the corresponding position, bend a 0.4mm thin metal wire into a pin, fix it with instant adhesive, and then cut it into a suitable paper strip using ordinary printing paper. The red paint can be applied by hand.

At the same time as completing this F-16DJ, the cross operation completed the F-16CJ of Tamiya, and the painting was also selected from the US Air Force's Mizawa base in Japan. Since then, it has been abandoned -2. The graphics and text of the Tamiya kit will be presented later.

At the end, in terms of the pleasure of completing the final task, it is still more fulfilling to complete difficult tasks. This feeling is like taming a scumbag girl into a soft girl.
