I have one of these conversion sets lined up for November but it'll take me a while to get everything else I'll need for the project, not the least of which being the Minicraft/Academy/Hobby 2000 PBY-5. I'll also want another Engine Correction Set from Red Roo/HPM, another BIG ED PBY Catalina set, some exhaust pipes since the Engine correction set comes with fish tail markings as where the NOMAD has the other types of exhausts & I THINK I have some M2 Brownings available for the project but if not I'll need to pick up some more of those.

I really never expected to be ordering one of these kits at my age but one never knows where this hobby will take us! I'm actually a bit excited for this project. I have the Falcon vac transparent parts for this kit, I have some Eduard Browning M2s set aside for her & I've got a spare Gaspatch Browning M1919 for this early-bird put off to the side for her nose as well.
I think I will still want some Resin2detail Early R-2800s, some Quickboost Exhausts & some Plusmodel Early Diamond Tread PUR wheels. I'll be delving into my scratch building to flesh out her interior, to make her worthy of those Falcon Clearvax canopies, basing the details off of the Hasegawa B-26F/G & the Airfix B-26B/C as well as their PE detail sets. I haven't decided if I'll be replacing her props just yet. I'll want to do some comparisons first since I'm not sure if these early birds had different props or not.
As far as markings are concerned I'm hoping on finding Susie Q markings for my Monogram build, like those released by Starfighter Decals, but apparently they are out of production pending the rumored release of an EARLY B-26 produced by a Ukrainian company. I'm wondering if the kit in question is the ICM 1/48 scale kit which they will likely scale down to 1/72. If so, however, the kit sprues don't look very intuitive for doing various different versions from that kit unless they have several alternate sprues. Anyway, until they're rereleased, I'll be watching eBay for that Starfighter Decals set.
I sincerely thought I'd be waiting on this kit until next year due to budget constraints BUT the missus decided she wanted some books & cleared me for picking this old beauty up for myself while she was at it. There's a lot of history with this kit for me. My father built this model kit while I sat across from him when I was 7 years old & as always I was ecstatic when he hung it from my bedroom ceiling. It only "survived" for a year or two though. We moved several times & his model collection stayed in storage. Several boxes collapsed in the storage unit though & fell directly on the box containing all of his built up kits. Three years after this model was mostly crushed I built the same kit, from the same release, now 35 years ago!

Can anyone confirm if this set will indeed be a Dual Combo like the prior Gustav Limited Series OR will this one be an exception to include 3 separate Bf-109s?

There is zero info out even from Eduard - in fact not even pt 3 last time I checked. But I would bet that pt 4 would likely follow the previous kits trend - so go for duel.
Edit I checked and nothing even for pt 3
Should be the last edition! At least for the 1/72 Gustav
If you really want to know you can fire a mail of to Eduard - they do respond

Does anyone know what's happened to Jan Simunek? He was real active back in 2015 & midway through a project - poof - he disappeared. I sincerely hope he's alright...
