I thought a TriFive Chevy street rod would go well with the Ford hot rods I had recently made and this ‘57 looked good value. It was only when it arrived that I realised it was a Snap-Tite version - this detail was not mentioned in the shop’s listing. The only illustration was an assembled model with some nice flames which I thought looked quite cool. There were both decals and stickers provided so I decided to give it a go as a simple OOB kerbside build. I would have liked to try a black cherry finish but the decals were printed with a black background so that would not have worked.
