The RCN acquired 35 Seafire post-War. Canada's Seafire Mk. XVs were flown from HMCS Magnificent and HMCS Warrior before being replaced by Hawker Sea Furies in 1948.

Bought this kit at HeritageCon XV. The seller wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting myself into. He seemed relieved to know I had built the Ventura PR.XIX a few years ago…
Plastic feels a little 'grainy', hopefully a light sanding will clean that up. The spruce gates are huge, definitely a low-pressure short-run kit. Need a razor saw to cut the parts off. No detail in the wheel wells or cockpit, so going to scratch-build some. Decals are looking sus, planning to get RCN markings for it anyway.
