SH-3 Sea King "Helicopter 66"

This project was like a step back for me: very old plastic molds, a lot of hand painting, disappointing level of details, couple of stupid blinders... But I'm happy to complete it.

Sea King is a legend. It was the backbone of the helicopter fleets of the US Navy, Royal Navy, and many others in the 1970s and 80s, serving as a ASW platform, rescue and cargo chopper, and doing pretty much everything. I have two of them completed and one in the stash.

This one is the most famous and beautifully painted. Helicopter 66 was a TV star when rescuing lander modules of Apollo moon missions. Unfortunately, the 1/72 model kit from @italeri is a piece of crap that requires a lot of effort to make something good-looking out of it. My skills and motivation are not good enough for such a challenge.

But at least I didn't miss the deadline - two models complete in April! My goal is to build 15 in 2024, and I'm quite on track.
