This is the Trumpeter Tu-142MR kit, scaled down from their 1/72 monster. When finished it will be one of my larger models in this scale and will make a nice counterpoint to the Revell B-52G.

Painted in the current ocean grey scheme complete with fuselage art "Великий Устюг" ("Great Ustyug").

Veliky Ustyug (Russian: Вели́кий У́стюг) is a town in Vologda Oblast, Russia, located in the northeast of the oblast at the confluence of the Sukhona and Yug Rivers. Veliky Ustyug has a great historical significance and was one of the major cities of the Russian North.

I found plenty of hi-res pics at russianplanes.net/st/Tupolev/Tu-142MK, this is an outstanding resource for modern Russian aircraft.

Decals will be by RKC/GIMP/Epson WF 2630

Working on those small auxiliary air intakes which were hardly visible on the kit and should be all on the top right of the nacelle.

The 1/144 heavies - next comes the B-58, then a Tu-26M2, B-52G, B-1B and a couple of B-2's.
