I spent way too much money to buy this model off Ebay just because it is one of my favorites in the Nose Art Department. I mean, there is a lot of cool nose art, but there is just something about the bird painted on the front of this one that I really like, not to mention Lady Lil. OK, maybe I do like Lady Lil more, but the bird is still cool. These Monogram B 25's are actually pretty good, detailed models too. The only problem I heard about them, which I did not have on this one but on my other one from Revell, is that often the front of the fuselage is warped. I did not have that problem on this one, and I think it turned out pretty good, but unfortuntely, the Humbrol Decalfix did absolutely nothing to help set the big decals in the front.
And 8 years later I am working on it again. I have put on the Metal landing gear and Resin wheels. I had to split the front open to do it, also did some new filling undearneath between the front landing gear and bomb bay. Had to repaint and in so doing, when I took the masks off it ripped most of the decal off. Now I am repainting the whole front by hand with some masking. Everything except the Lady Lil Nose Art will be painted. I have some pictures on my Instagram account of it.
