Using AMT F-15A Kit with scaled down decals from TwoBobs decals (48-194) from 1:48 to 1:72. Used fuel drop tanks (2) & engine nozzles (better detail) from Academy F-15C MSIP II "California ANG 144th FW" kit. All the photos I see of the ASM-135 missile launching from the F-15 has 2 fuel drop tanks attached but the AMT kit does not come with drop tanks. The drop tanks & nozzles from Academy fit the AMT kit! If you are doing this project in 1:72 scale start with the ERTL kit since the AMT kit is molded in silver plastic & paint has lifted several times when taping. The ERTL kit is molded in gray plastic & takes paint better. You have to paint the whole model gray anyway. I used Mission Model Paints grey primer with MMP-73 & MMP-74 and the Eduard XS547 F-15C Eagle Camo Scheme Mask. You can download the mask from the Edurad website & print at 63%. Its OK to download & print since this mask is no longer available. I attached the paper masks with BluTack, I printed then cut out to give a soft edge then airbrushed the darker grey over the base light grey. Hope this all helps with your 1:72 satellite killer. This project is a real time killer with mega hours I have put into it. Photos when done.
