F-100D Super Sabre - USAF - 1965

The F-100D from Trumpeter at 1:72 finished with Alclad Polished Aluminium and Alclad Steel.
My first ever try at a natural metal finish.

The pilot figure is from Aerobonus, scaled down from 1:48.

Although a dedicated supersonic fighter, the F-100D Super Sabre was used as a fighter/interceptor only in the very early days of the Vietnam war. Afterwards it was used exclusively as a close ground support aircraft. As such, the weapons configuration depicted above was probably never actually used together with the stencils of the bombing missions. Nevertheless, I also wanted to have a F-100D with 4 Sidewiders in a NFM from Vietnam.
