F4U-1D

I find it hard not to like a Tamiya F4U-1D in Gloss Navy Blue with a Tokyo Raids Cowl Ring. Given that the Franklin was not "online" for an extended time, I did not wear down the paint too much. Flory Wash gave to the dirty look I wanted.

Fundekals were well printed and went on nicely. You are own your own as to where to cut the decals to fit on the wings.

Stencils were the worst part of this kit. Fundekals did not include any Stencils. I had two Tamiya Sheets, but they were both rather old and wanted to float away. I should have asked Tamiya USA to send a new sheet.

Overall a fun project.
