The Flight of the Phoenix
Diorama based on Elleston Trevor's 1964 novel

1:144 scale diorama based on Elleston Trevor's 1964 novel, "The Flight of the Phoenix", and the 1965 film of the same name. While the aircraft in the novel was fictional-- the Salmon-Rees Skytruck-- and the aircraft used in the 1965 film was the Fairchild C-82 Packet, this diorama will use the Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar, which was used in the 2004 remake of the film, but design and construction of the Phoenix will more closely follow the descriptions and drawings in the book.
