This model represents the X-34 prototype that was constructed in 2000, intended to be a low-cost testbed for demonstrating key technologies that could be integrated into the RLV program. It was an autonomous pilotless craft capable of performing 25 test flights per year. The program was canceled in March 2001 due to budget cuts.
