Were the kit's wings really that far off or are you making something special?

I already had everything together when I got a tip from the britmodeller forum that the kit wing is in the wrong place. I studied the drawings and photos and even though I don't like to modify ready made things, I still moved the wing back based on this information

Hello everyone - thanks for your intereest. I must admit that this is not a very exiting build, but thanks for yor interest - will to the painting this weekend and I just checked the decal sheet,....uuuii, there are plenty tiny stickers to be placed.

I had trouble with the front landing gear on this kit breaking. I don't know if was just a fluke or if the mold is too thin. It may need reinforcement.

And you are right - the more colourful livery is way more interessting (application of decals 🙂 - but also to look at it when done). I will up-date the other Album soon.

I am building 2 of those revel kits in parallel - both front landing gears broke already right after taking it from the sprue.... so thx for your advice, I hope other mates receive this info to take precaution.

Working on the parts of this kit can be considered bodily harm! The bright yellow hurts your eyes and you can't see any details or damaged areas that need work. I would have preferred a more common gray!

Hallo Frank, the set with lap belts only could be intended for the US Navy variant of the Stearman, the N2S. Until US entry in WW2, US Navy aircraft mostly did not have shoulder belts. I read this in a review of a 1/32 Vought Kingfisher while looking for seatbelts and wondering about the same thing for my 1/32 Revell/ICM N2S Stearman kit.

Unfortunately Fujimi don't include the front spotlights or the wheels seen on the box picture, I'll have to see about getting them form somewhere

Fujimi have basically just done the Cup car with 5 spoke wheels, strangely you do get non chrome and chrome versions of them, with the different decals, bit of a let down, but hopefully I can source the parts from somewhere.

You can also try to make a ball with tamiya epoxy putty quick type, grind the bottom to fit the mask and then somehow insert part of the lamp into this "ball".
