Superb model and beautiful photography!
I also want ro build one, but these Su-27/-33 etc. series aircraft are just huge, even in 1:72.
Nice kit, Im thinking of getting one, how's the fit and finish, is it easy to build?
Amazing. Simply amazing. The super detailing in this kit is on a whole different level!
Thanks for the comments guys!
Seyid, honestly I was not too impressed with the quality of the kit. Considering it is quite modern and all I ran into some fitting issues. There were also many inaccuracies considering some details and parts. The main carriage is simplified, I worked on it about three weeks alone. All in all it is okay I would say, a solid B-
BTW good luck trying to get one, I was fortunate enough to grab mine in 2019 I think when they were available. Now KH is out of business and I have seen these Kits on eBay for around 400€
That's an extraordinary build, great work on all the tiny details...just amazing!
Really nice work Alexander. Kitty Hawk always had a bad wrap for instruction errors and fit issues and normally deserved. I had issues in the bucket load with the SU-35 and F-35B, so i have an idea of the pain you went through. Great project and thanks for sharing.
Thx Gary and Pipeman86!
I had the Su-35 in my stash but decided to sell it and to get a GWH kit. They seem to be on another level just by glancing over the parts. Maybe just maybe I will try and get one of them Su-22s just because there is no alternative except the ancient KP kit
All those details add beautifully to the overall impression. Great paint job on top.
Hey thx. Not perfect at all but nothing to be ashamed of either😄
Beautiful colour scheme, expertly painted and weathered. An excellent build
Thx Grom. I used Mr. Paint lacquers. Usually I work with Tamiya acrylics but these are also great. They had the 3 main Su-34 camo shades already mixed so I gave them a try. The colors are spot on, I just added some white to match the scale effect and fading.
Initially I bought the Su-34 set from Hataka but the colors didn't match at all to my taste. Way too green.
Guys check out the build progress pictures at the end of the album 😉
For the blinds I used 0,1mm tin foil

I always liked the looks of this cute but deadly bird and wanted to build one for ages. Especially because of the gorgeous blue-green camouflage. Luckily I was able to get a Kitty Hawk kit a couple of years ago when they were still available for a reasonable price. The project took almost 1 year from start to finish and I used an obscene amount of aftermarket parts and did a good amount of detailing myself. Anyway, here is the result...enjoy!
