Spitfire Mk.Vb (Clipped Wing)
Rough look at the sprue. Start on my first journey on double build in tandem with Academy Tomahawk IIb
Painting up the spit interior with Mr. Color H364. Honestly I'm still learning up on how to make the paint a little more brighter (despite still using pretty high ratio of Mr. leveling thinner) as this is too dark for my taste. Nonetheless, it is still acceptable imho.
Painting the details up. which are pretty light but very acceptable. I painted the seat following the manual of Eduard Spitfire Mk.V.
This kit is pretty old, the decals sometimes aren't cooperative.

some dry brushing with Mr.Color H8 Silver
Looking fairly good for a compact kit, and it will be quite enclosed since the door won't be opened.
Fitting the fuselage in, Tomahawk's next!
There are issues with this particular kit. Huge gap on the wing root to the fuselage, especially in the right wing
the underside engine cover having a significant offset with the engine cowling that it had to be sanded off. I suspect since this part is in separate additional tree from the original tree in order to make this kit a Spit Mk.Vb.
painting the canopy with internal color.
Primed up alongside with Tomahawk IIb
Trying to do chipping technique.
I had to redo it, as it is too heavily chipped in my taste.
Pre-shading with Flat Black.
Trying out some streaking effect. Though my cheap airbrush wouldn't support it much..
Painting the underside with Azure Blue.
First attempt on masking for camo pattern.
Masking off the whole paintjob.
Sadly... the important decals are no good...
I have very minimum confidence with the decal...
Trying to save up some stencils as much as possible.
Since the decal are no good... I assembled all the left-out parts and put out the cockpit masking.
All assembled. Have to put this project on hold until I can at least get a replacement decal...
Decided to use half of RAF Roundels and markings from Academy P-51C 1/48 that I got on my stash.
Trying to trace the squadron markings.
Crossdelta decal went quite well, albeit a little bit on the thicker side.
First time trying to paint with traced masking tape, not the best result in my opinion.

Painting the no-step markings on the wing.
Terrible state of the original decal. It crumples immediately after being separated from the carrier film.
Terrible state of the original 'spare' decal.
In the end, had to repaint the roundel with whatever paint I have to get as close as possible... (It was with mixed Tamiya Royal Blue for the blue part and russet for the red part).
giving some wash, just want to finish it as quickly as possible.

Thank you for the encouragement @J35J, still a long way to go to hone my skill and technique.
