Given the small number of parts to in this build, I went ahead and sprayed all the parts on the spruces with Mr. Surfacer 1000. The canopy is dipped in Quick Shine/Floor Finish.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/7/1/3/1701713-134637-36-720.jpg)
Added a little depth to the guns.

Cockpit in Cockpit Green (IJN) XF-71. Used Chrome Silver to dry brush and some small amounts of Tamiya Brown Panel liner. The seat cushion was made with puddy, and then seat and headrest painted in Red Brown XF-64. Used the Micro Kristal Klear on the instrument panel (also dry brushed w/Chrome Silver).

Landing gear bay in Yellow Green XF-4. SIDE NOTE: Lots of gaps on the wings. Will need to fill those in and redo the landing gear bay paint.
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/2/5/4/1703254-134637-14-720.jpg)
Did something different with the landing gear "hub caps". I am planning on doing the nose cone and tail rudder in red so thought the landing gear should match up.

Believed I might have used too much force, cracked the tire. Ooops!

CONFUSED: Not sure what to do with this "hole" in the right wing. Assuming this is for a light lens, but no parts provided nor any reference in the manual. Will sort it out with some spare clear parts from other kits if necessary.

Overdid the yellow area (XF-3). Bombs in Dark Green 2 (XF-89). Attachment in Chrome Silver and the bomb rack in Neutral Grey.

Ready to paint. Added some Tamiya Black Panel liner to see if it helps the panels come out. However the panel details on this kit is pretty light and I honestly lack the experience on how to bring it out (early on my use of airbrush techniques as well), but in due time.

Underside: Tamiya Neutral Gray XF-53, mixed with Tamiya Thinner 1:1.5 ratio (should have gone lighter).
![Album image #28 Album image #28](/albums/img/2/0/1/1705201-134637-59-720.jpg)
Topside: Tamiya Olive Drab XF-62, Tamiya Thinner X-20A, and Vallejo Airbrush Flow Improver. The respective ratio - 2:3:1

First attempt at making Invasion Stripes on a model. The tail ones are more troublesome, wings not so bad.
![Album image #34 Album image #34](/albums/img/1/7/8/1706178-134637-89-720.jpg)
Believe this was my first attempt to do all airbrush camo. The grey on top was free hand, no masking to create the pattern. Only masked the red nose cone, and the belly invasion strips.

Quite pleased with how the canopy came out considering I created my own mask using Tamiya masking tape (no precuts).
