Original Airfix kit

Chassis and underframe assembled as the first stage and airbrushed with Vallejo black matt primer. This is a nice crisp kit that has almost no flash and goes together with no problems. I think the chassis looks pretty realistic. It will be better when dry brushed metallic and weathered but this is a nice start.

The chassis and floor of the wagon in black primer.

The body of the truck is assembled and ready for painting, decals and weathering. The moment of truth will come as to whether these old decals will be usable.

Ben, the decals look pretty solid but they are very faded. So much so that I can barely read them. I may have to put running numbers individually on with Railtec transfers which will be very fiddly.
