Airfix Vintage Sopwith Camel
This kit has less than 30 pieces and is pretty crude really. However, I will see what I can make if it. The fuselage is a poor fit and will have to be primed and filled. Fitting the tail section required support to make it stay straight.
I had forgotten how much of a pain in the proverbial it is to put the wings on biplanes. I have also lost one of the struts so I shall have to do some sprue stretching.
Construction completed and airbrush primer applied. I decided not to attempt to paint small parts first this time. I will airbrush the main surfaces and brush paint the details. I replaced the lost strut with little piece of brim waste filament from 3D printing that was the perfect size.
Almost ready for decals.
Decals applied. Now to let them dry thoroughly and apply a final clear coat and call it done.
Completed and airbrushed with Vallejo Premium Satin varnish for protection and to flatten out the decals.
