Fun group build....

Choppa Nutta
love it 🙂
some great re-imaginings of the Me 262, also liking the subtle water textures too 👍

This series of Me 262 conversions is a real treat to look at. 👍👍
Thanks for sharing and thanks for putting a smile on my face!

that sure is some slutty lip stick on that shark 😄

the shark (aka U-262) was the biggest surprise to all of us und made us laugh real hard... 🙂
13 October 2014, 22:00
Erik Apunkt
Maybe because it's way too obvious - shapewise. 🙂

Robert
that's only part of it.. everyone was expecting planes, the 2 salt lake racers were already special, but noone was expecting any kind of boat or ship.

Gary
I hope that the cheaper Monogram kit was used for all these builds. I always wondered what the 262 would look like with the engines sunk into the fusalage sides with side intakes like the Phantom. Gary

Holger Kranich
That looks really funny, cool ideas among them! 😄
14 October 2014, 13:11
Glenn
Great stuff! Love the U-262 and the X-wing! 🙂
14 October 2014, 15:41
Burkhard D
Funtastic! 😄

it was a lot of fun to build these 🙂 we used mostly the HobbyBoss kits, but there where also some Revell (Dragon rebox) used. The "Walrus" is for example a Dragon/Smer mix. There are still some in the pipeline because we had to many ideas....

maybe a 262 tank next or perhaps a 262 canoe ? 😄
14 October 2014, 18:50
Robert
tank... hm challenging...
but something like "naboo fighter" is already on the table 🙂 🙂
14 October 2014, 19:22
Erik Leijdens
wohoo that u-boat 👍
14 October 2014, 20:41
Choppa Nutta
Naboo fighter cool !
Maybe a Tie fighter too ? 😄
Tempting to have a go. You got me thinking about a 262 Tanks now 🙂
so I've just chucked a couple of speculative bids out, we shall see 🙂

What imaginations! Who are these people? Every one had a WOW factor
15 October 2014, 02:25
Robert
@Choppa: I did't think of a tie so far, but I was thinking about Y-wing 🙂
@John: there are 7 of as called "Scale Knights". Take a look at scaleknights.ch

Ulf Petersen
Great!!! 👍 A perfect example what scale modeling can be if you don't take it too serious.
Thanks for the smile! 🙂
15 October 2014, 11:18
Robert
@Ulf: exactly.... we usually pick historic projects but we wanted to do something different. And in general it was a great success, specially for the people not involved in scale modeling (but of course there are some of the "hard core" model builder which didn't even look at the models)

the possibilities are endless 😄

Choppa Nutta
I'm still a fan of all this 😄

This stuff is just plain cool. My favorite is the Walrus looking seaplane, but, they all show active imaginations.

Those pics make for a good break while I squint at my new Phantom data decal sheet.

Choppa Nutta
They do indeed make for sweet distraction 😄

I wonder how many people might be up for a
"Margarine Tub Moon Lander" Group Build ? 😄

Anyhow a few more nice distractions -

Love them all, fantastic. Always thought of incorporating iconic cars with iconic planes

I've been looking at my 1/48th Harrier with just that in mind, If I can get a cheap F1 Ferrari in 1/20th and stick the fins and wheels etc. onto the Harrier, carve out a new cockpit and presto ! an F1 Harrier 😄

that's another idea for a GB, Bash two kits into one model 👍
15 July 2015, 22:49
Dave Flitton
Awesome collection of 262's
16 July 2015, 04:36
Bart Goesaert
awesome, some really original ideas with this one...
16 July 2015, 07:45
Hanno Kleinecke
Fascinating creative ideas, excellently executed ! My favourite is the mini sub, as it brings out the over - obvious shark in the 262 design.
The Canadian De Havilland is second . 🙂
16 July 2015, 07:59
Melf Boyens
Freestyle at its best, i just love the Russian "Berkut" -Prequel ...you have really immagination!

I think this collection was part of a groupbuild Robert took part in, I don't think they are all his models 🙂
I love the wee X Wing 🙂

Dieter Bihlmaier
Yes, I understand. 🙂

That's a way cool Robert🙂
Great and inspiring work with a big fun factor. Not only a clean and nice modelmaking but also a great creativeness. Very well done to Robert and his Swiss Scale Knight mates!

Robert
Thanks to all of you...
We (the Scale Knights) had a lot of fun with this project and it's well received at exhibitions. Especially since every model is well researched and the history well documented 😉

Hi Robert, I was just trying to access the link you provided above but it doesn't seem to work or I can't access it. I'd be keen to look at more of these types of builds.
