It is looking good so far, and I hope you don't mind if I draw your attention to the seam lines I saw on the front wheel strut in image 20, and it would look spot on if you could just remove some or if not, all of it, and also, the seam lines on the main belly tank in image 34 stands out a bit too. Just little things that can detract from the overall finish of what is looking like a great build. 🙂 👍

Ivo, With a cotton tip, dip it in some "Brake Fluid" yes, the stuff used to top up your cars master cylinder.
Rub the cotton tip soaked in the brake fluid on the paint you want to remove and it won't effect the clear plastic. 🙂
Cheers.

Just buy some brake fluid from your auto shop and It will last a long time, unless your always stripping paint from other models, as that is what I use to get paint of any model I want to repaint.

I dont use the clear parts for the canopy. Because now you can see more from the cockpit and the pilotes. As you see when you look at the picture . Before i get a comment why the hell i dont use the clear parts. 🙂

We are all here to help and encourage you to feel good about what you do.
That sort of a comment does not help us feel too good about what we try to do. 🙁

Should i feel good when i get just comments about how bad the pictures .... are. And no comments about the modell ( I think this Website is about modelling not about how to make pictures from modells) . No i dont feel happy when i read such comments.

model seems nice, the landing/take-off pose is a nice touch. During the build there were some large seems at the bottom of the fuel-tanks, hope these are gone. the red decal that seems broken at the intake on one side could be repaired with some paint.
in regard to the photo discussion, it could encourage you to try to do a little better instead of holding you back

@ Bart most of the decals are broken (when they get contact with water) every decal you see is more or less fixed ,some such the red intake was too small to repair (for me) sorry . I dont wanted to throw the kit in trash because it makes fun to build and paint i knowed the decals will be a problem when the kit is finished.
@ Rui thank you.

If ever your decals are not what you hoped they would be, there are plenty of suppliers or even at your hobby shop that you could find the same decals or many others suited to the Phantom. 🙂
I have had decals that just shattered into dozens of pieces and it was really disappointing, but I looked around and found some others/ 🙂
Cheers. 👍

Ivo, I understand completely what you meant and I TOTALLY agree with you mate.👍
I think that if you can get a good image of your builds, It makes it a lot easier for your peers to make observations and to offer possible solutions on what we see.:-?
Don't get too upset by our asking for more, but I think it proves that you have got our attention and that your work is worthy of commenting on mate.🙂
I think you would be totally pissed off if we said absolutely nothing. :-O
You can only get better if you try harder each time, and I do like the effort you have made and I admire your willingness to post what you have done. 🙂
Cheers mate. 👍 🙂

I can chip in a little by saying that it's always a good idea to look for after market decals for any Tamiya build. Why? Old Tamiya decals often behave just like they've done on your nice build and ALL new or old is unnecessary thick so even if one can get them stuck without any silvering there'll still be a thick edge on the decals no matter how many clear coats you put over the decals afterwards. They're also stiff to work with and don't react that much to decal setting fluids.

So true Urban, and, some people go as far as cutting away that 'carrier film'
AND, here is something that you may want to do one day, and that is to completely strip an old model of all paint and start the paint and decals process all over again.:-O
I have done it with several models I love but hate the paint job, and I used "Brake fluid" to do the job, and it is so worth it. 🙂 🙂 🙂 👍
Cheers !!
