Hasegawa's F-104 Starfighter.
What a stunning addition to an older kit to really give it some credability. The brass etchings are amazing, stunning. 🙂
The detail in the mouldings is just wonderful, and from all images I have seen so far about this seat, NOTHING is missing. 👍
The side I will never see again, but it's as good as the visible side.
With all 'anchor' points and the brass shroud, it all comes together so perfectly, looking like the natural 'hang' of the straps.
Sooooooo many straps for the pilot to be secured with. But they are all here.
Even the "Spur" holders are there. I loved assembling this great little gem, absolutly. 🙂
Overall. THE most impressive resin seat I have ever built, as iot looks so real from every angle.

Thank amigo. 🙂 The actual kit is yet to be unpacked from it's plastic bags, but I am happy it was still in it's original packing when I got it, yeay, NO missing parts after 30 years in the box. !!!

I am so pleased you like the look of it. It really is a perfect replica of the real thing, especially all the brass work strapping. 🙂 But the detail in the resin is just fantastic, and I do agree Michael, it is a fitting way to start the "surroundings" it fits into. LOL 🙂 When the seat looks as good as this, you want the rest to match. NOW, I am not talking about the way I have done the seat, as I still have to paint the straps and fasteners yet, but as a 'kit' within a kit, it is an outstanding item in it's own right. 🙂
A bit of a good story teller is this guy, but well worth a bit of your time to see and hear what he has to say.👍 🙂

Indeed, a (wonderfull) kit in a kit. Are you planning a resin cockpit tub to?

No resin tub, as after this is in, the room left is zero really, but what is there for the standard kit is pretty much it. :-/
Very few whistles and bells in the 104. One of the narrowest cockpits of the day. 🙂

Most stunning work Kerry, I am in for the rest of the build. I have seen that video several times, as I have the Italeri kit.

I am torn between bare metal foil or testors buffing metalizer. :-/
THE FOIL IS DIFFICULT ON 'COMPOUND' CURVES AND WRINKLES TERRIBLY . THEN THE bUFFING PAINT MAY BE JUST THE THING.

Is it the "G/S" model or the "C" model? I am Torn between the Canadaian or Luftwaffe (Marine) version on mine.

Thank you all my mates. 👍
It will be a long slow process, as I am also entertaining using the Uschi buffing metal powders to see what effect I can get with them, as I hear they are pretty bloody good. 🙂

I would too if I didn't already have this one, as I payed $40.00 Au for mine, and normally here, 60 to 80 if your lucky (No pun intended). 🙂
Mine dose NOT have the inflight refuelling probe. 🙁

Again, I thank you Ben. 🙂
This will be a while in the development, as I am still working out the way I will go when it comes to the final finish I will be comfortable with. 👍
