Kudos for the persistence. Looks like the fit is a bit problematic at places. Looks pretty good in general after all the problems you encountered.

Yeah, probably the Tamiya would be the better choice.

The canopy is really bad, the fit was bad, the decals were bad, I apinted all the stripes on because the decals fell apart when they hit the water. I wanted this finished though despite the problems, I think it looks ok still though. I had this before Tamiya released the new one, had it before as well, but this one definately turned out better than the one I built when I was a teen.

Here is my build of the P 38J Lighting, I think you can tell in the pictures that the back seems to close to the ground, but I coulndt make the front landing gear any shorter.
