Tiger I (Early) SGB (Small Group Build)
Started work on the Friuls. Complete number of links TBD.

Additional work needed to join the two parts together.

Finally got the front fender pieces together!
Had to update the rear deck because of the time period this Tiger was created according to The Modeller's Guide to the Tiger Tank book.
View of the pe side fenders.
Modified MG barrel. The barrel was supposed to fit into the plastic barrel body, but I replaced it with brass tubing.
This Tamiya kit has a cast-metal body. I didn't like the sloppiness of the top deck when dry-fitted so I had to shim it on each side.
Same thing with the rear plate. Some serious shimming was required.
It's coming together! A quick dry-fit of the top and rear lets me know that all the side-to-side gaps are gone.
All wheels were primed with Tamiya Metal and Plastic Primer, then sprayed with Tamiya Rubber Black acrylic.
Wheel masks created with my Shadowline Hobby circle cutter. I used it on .005 sheets of styrene so that I could have a bit of flexibility when taping the wheels to the back of it.

Very nice work on the fenders - will look forward to seeing how they look once they're painted!
