The S-38 is on my wishlist. So I'm looking forward to see your build and the finished model.

It is a great kit .... lot of space for details .... and weathering 🙂 But the hull needs lot of putty and sanding to get the covers of the bolts smooth with the rest ..... putty, sanding and some new rivets at the bow are necessary too ....

Wohh, that's a Big one and different subject.
I know you will make a work of Art, so I'm in 👍

Love what you've done so far.👍 I've got the Type S-100 in 1/35, but never have been brave enough to have a crack at her.🙁

Great progress Micha. Are the 3D printed additions something you designed, or from 3rd party?

The 3D-printed parts are from Shapeways. Very, very great designed !! But not from me 🙂

I'm using some Shapeways products but found modifying them ,such as opening the tubes is difficult since the resin is brittle. Supeurb quality and detail though. at 1:700 3d can't be beat.

Lovely work. I will have to use this as a guide when I build my 1/72nd version.
