Kübelwagen Progress

Preshading of the semi-assembled model. 

First layer of paint is on. Tamiya XF-60. 

A little more assembly and detail painting done. 

 

 

Clear coated and decals are on. 

 

 

 

I've left some assembly until after the weathering. Which is the next step. 

The Kübelwagen is finished! 🙂 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I did not glue the window. There is enough friction fit to put it in both positions. 

 

 

THe figures in this kit are really nicely detailed. 

First layer of base paint is XF-50 for the uniforms and XF-59 for the shute. 

I lightened up the uniforms a bit before detail painting with XF-18. 

All detail painting were done with Vallejo model paints and washes. 

 

Here they are planning a secret mission with an invisible map in front of the FW 190 😉. 

The kit supplies a map but you have to cut the instruction manual, so I made a photocopy of it and sprayed it with clear coat on both sides. It is now glued to the figures. I guess they have sticky fingers 😉.
