i think, it's easier to find some on ebay, just search for copper wire and choose diameter... 😉

For extremely thin copper thread I advise you to buy a stump of expensive speaker cable in a HiFi shop.

hm ... you changed from assembling plastic models to disassembling HiFi equipment 🙂
Thanks for the idea but my Revox B-77 is still in service ...

I use a slightly different method of extracting the parts, it's called "brute force" and involves repeated blows with a hammer 😄

Your neighbours needed your cd-player to listen to cd's? You really are a generous person 😉

Kerry, glad to see you're still cruising along 👍

Speaking of copper wire, I remember seeing this in an online store, 0.03 mm copper wire on a roll (30m):
hobbyeasy.com/en/dat..wyvbpbupiqs7d3d.html

And 0,01 mm wire (9m):

Kerry, I'm using very thin copper wire of around 0.06mm (measured) out of high flexible silicone cables, like this:
conrad.de/de/p/reely..m-1-set-1275498.html
There are many very thin wires in. Real copper without paint on it.
Usage as ignition wires in 1:48 on my engines, see actual project:
