Rui, the real vehicle doesn't appear to have any track sag in the photos, presumably being a combination of a new vehicle and rubber tracks, so I am going to assume the box art is just artistic license.

Bart, the fit on the hull has been very good, but less so on the turret. If this was a plane rather than a tank I would probably be yelling by now about nasty seams and bad joins ruining my nice clean plane, but as it's a tank I don't mind so much. 🙂

And thank you for your confidence Derek! This should be the first in a big load of models, I have quite a stash built up now.😉

Oh for... Look I have PLENTY of aircraft to make, both with spinny things on the front, and with roaring thingies on the back! I am just taking a break from my usual deluge of planes to build a few tanks that's all!

Don't worry Katya...some people cannot see beyond the end of their spinny things!😉 You carry on building what you want, when you want 👍 (I've done wings, wheels, tracks, hulls, rockets, bodies, birds and more in my time - never a dull moment!)

Derek, don't worry I like tanks, props, jets, ships, sci-fi, etc. I just build what I like. 🙂

And yes Holger, I got the kit. The hull was very nice to build but the turret was... not so good. I need to get on with painting it, and I am worried about how to join the ends of the rubber tracks...

Not sure the pre-shading did much, but the dunkelgrau base coat is on!

The only pre-shading I have luck with is a darker colour under, but also the idea is that you go lightly on the paint and build up with the other colours. So I mostly do post painting. That's what works for me.

Sorry for the sudden big update but I was away from the PC for half of yesterday.

Anyway, I finished assembly, painted the camo, added the detailing, and now it should be ready for clear coating and decals. ^-^

Pre-shading is an art, and can be very effective, but it isn't a 'must have'! IMHO, I think it can be over-used, and often is. No doubt the 'wolves' in our hobby will have me for commenting on this, but just do what you're happy with. 🙂 This one is looking very good.

GuP decals didn't fit, and probably would have looked a bit off with this camo, so I just went for the historical option.

Micro Set smells horrible by the way...

Just don't get your 'Set' and your 'Sol' mixed up, though they both smell equally bad (and are probably the same solution after all that anyway!) 😮

Well done! The set and sol smell kind of like vinegar to me. Solvaset has a strong smell also. And it will literally melt the decals sometimes if you arent careful.
