No big deal to beat etched parts.

Big mistake Nr. 1: I Installed the turbine filters too early. More over this kit means heavy sanding and rescribing along the seam lines.

CMK has mercy on me and I could start another try after mistake Nr. 2: I had purchased the Eduard CH-47AAAAA exterior set. Some fine gaze for the filters rear face after drilling out some of the solid material. Thanks again kids! 🙂

I'll add some small wires after painting. Otherwise it's very nice oob with some pe-parts, especailly the warped blades.

Thank you Brian! I just polished the front windows after scratching of the solid wipers. I never thought I'd manage that, hopefully it will pay off. 🙂

Thanks a lot everyone for your motivating comments! I'm scared of that crazy idea I have about painting the decals. 🙂

Yeeha, at least painting the decals worked out. Very low pressure and thin layers, so that they dry immediately. Why all this? Masking under or next to the engines seems to tricky.

Thank you Johne! I'm still in the putty and sandpaper mode 🙂 At least the resin wheels are painted and completed.

Started with Helo Drab, which was too green and too dark. So I just applied Feldgrau - bullseye.

Thanks Łukasz! The actual airframe should be older than Marilyn ever was. Just installing and wiring the scratchbuilt chaff and flare dispensers.

Done - almost. Maybe the exhausts could be enhanced with some more detailling. 🙂

Nice! I saw this flashing by a couple of times, but only now that I had a deeper look at this build. Really well done and true to the distinctive details on a Chinook. 👍

Rotor bending isn't my achievement, it's one of the few things Trumpeter provided spot-on.

Very nice & realistic Chinook - finish looks great, and you really made some smart choices on adding own details, the cockpit and especially the nets add a lot to the overall impression 👍
