SMK was a heavy tank project prototype with one vehicle being completed in 1939. It was proposed to replace the T35 as the Army's heavy breakthrough tank and was given combat trials against the Finnish Mannerheim Line where it was immobilized by a land mine. Attempts to recover it failed and it was a total loss. The design was rejected in favor of the KV series heavy tank which was very similar (but had a single turret).
